May 2013 – Working with kids…

0

Over the last couple of weeks I have seen lots of kids in the test room, here in Inverurie.  I like testing kids. They are great fun and very very forthright. Don’t for goodness sake eat anything remotely garlicky/oniony for lunch or they will let you know. I remember a group of primary ones came to the practice for an educational visit. They were split into three groups: one to see specs being made, another to see how we choose frames and the third to see the workings of an eye exam. As I was explaining what a test is about and why we do the tests, kids being kids kept asking” what’s that for?” “What does this do?”. Being mild mannered!!!! I politely answered all posers. One kid didn’t blurt out but stood for ages with his hand up. When I finally got to ask him what his question was he replied “why have you got grey hair?”      Answers on a postcard please….
