Q: What are HMD Opticians opening hours?

A: HMD Opticians, Peterhead, Inverurie and Banchory are open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.

HMD Opticians, Turriff is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Q: Do you need an appointment?

A: Yes, an appointment is recommended, but if you call in advance and we have availability, we will get you into practice.

Q: What if I have an eye emergency?

A: If you don’t have an appointment and have an urgent issue with your eye, please call the practice, so we can discuss the issues you are experiencing, and if we can help, we will get you into practice or direct you to where you will receive the care you need.

Q: Does HMD Opticians offer free NHS eye exam?

A: Yes. All Scottish residents are eligible for a free NHS eye exam.

Q: Does HMD Opticians offer a comprehensive eye exam?

A: Yes, our optometrists will provide patients with a comprehensive eye exam, checking your vision and your eye health for signs of eye disease, including glaucoma, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration and diabetes.

Q: Does HMD Opticians offer contact lens exams?

A: Yes, HMD Opticians provides patients with regular contact lens check-ups. We pride ourselves in keeping up to date with the technological advancements in contact lenses. We offer our patients the latest in Dailies, 30-Day, Single Vision, Multifocal, For Astigmatism and Toric.
