So the new season has just kicked off, games are scheduled; you just need to keep your team healthy to have all your resources available to you for the season. You study old and emerging training techniques; you work hard and are always looking for ways to gain that competitive edge. Well, we may be we can help.
A recent study was undertaken by the University of Cincinnati Baseball Team where they included vision therapy in their pre-season training, 6 weeks before the start of the season. Baseball requires an incredible amount of visual acuity and hand-eye coordination, especially from the batters. As part of this study, the entire Baseball team underwent vision therapy with hugely positive results.
The results of the exercise showed a large increase in team’s batting average, from 0.251 to 0.285 and each batter’s performance increased by 10% or more.
Baseball may not be your sport, but either way the results are compelling. Football players, Rugby players, golf, tennis, cycling….all require good visual acuity and hand-eye coordination, as well as many other visual skills, which can be developed from undergoing Sportvision therapy.
